Meet one of our favourite people on the planet: Rémy, the co-founder of Equium Social (alongside her husband Jacques and gorgeous young daughter Yuna), has poured her heart into creating a culinary haven in Mayfield. With a focus on nourishing both body and soul, Rémy infuses every aspect of Equium Social, from the food to the welcoming atmosphere, with integrity and heart. Her commitment to delivering "simple, wholesome food" is evident in the seasonal menu, featuring locally roasted coffee from Unison Roasters and artworks by Newcastle creatives that grace the walls.
The recently revamped Equium Social, a favorite among locals, stands as more than just a cafe; it's a space that inspires change within the creative sector in Mayfield. Collaborating with local businesses Built By Eli and design team Curious Practice, Rémy has elevated the cafe's aesthetic, creating sophisticated vibes while staying true to its relaxed philosophy.

GABI & BELLA 〰️ HONEST PAPER
Meet Gabi and Bella, the creative minds behind Honest Paper and Daymaker Stationery. With graphic design backgrounds and a shared love for all things stationery, they've crafted the ultimate haven for enthusiasts.
Bella, a wife and mum of three wonderful kids, and Gabi, a certified chocoholic with a penchant for pens, embarked on their journey when Gabi dreamt of owning "Blessing & Honour." Starting on Etsy, they soon opened Honest Paper in The Junction, overcoming challenges and skeptics.
In 2020, facing the pandemic, they pivoted online and expanded to a larger space in Newcastle, creating a dream stationery haven alongside Mr Sister. They launched Daymaker Stationery, expanded into wholesale, and faced the challenges with resilience.
As dedicated friends and business partners, Gabi and Bella not only grew their business, but supported local artists through the Artist Investment Program. The program collaborates with emerging and established talents, creating an array of unique paper products.
